We invite you to learn about embedding social and emotional learning (SEL) in high school classrooms through a free, 30-minute webinar which we presented in partnership with the National Association of Secondary School Principals. Engaging Schools provides a rationale for integrating academic, social, and emotional learning and support in every classroom as the foundation of an approach to SEL in high schools. We discuss a framework that links the development of student mindsets, four broad skill sets, specific learning and life competencies, and desired target behaviors. Through an illustration of what this approach can look like in daily practice, participants deepen their knowledge and understanding of how to implement SEL in high schools, learn about specific strategies and practices, and gain inspiration to take on the challenge.
