Today’s educators teach and support students with a wide range of abilities, interests, cultural backgrounds, learning styles, and emotional profiles. Educating these students begins with connecting with them. And that means making learning personal.

Engaging Schools helps middle and high schools create a positive climate and learning-focused culture. Educators adopt proven strategies for effectively teaching and communicating with students; supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally; and giving students the tools to learn, collaborate, and help one another thrive.

Multiple Ways to Engage

Engaging Schools’ work incorporates the best of current research in teaching and learning, youth development, and discipline and student support. All of our services and products are field tested and refined through cycles of continuous improvement.

Engaging Schools offers educators various ways to use our expertise. Schools can:

  • Partner with us. Engaging Schools works with schools and districts on customized longer-term efforts. These can include strategic planning and ongoing coaching with school and district leaders; professional learning for teachers, including multi-day institutes and other training sessions; teacher observations and feedback; coaching; and data review and analysis.
  • Host or attend a workshop or institute. Engaging Schools offers workshops and multi-day institutes aligned to each of its core services. Schools or districts can host an institute or workshop customized for their needs. Individuals and teams can also attend our open-registration workshops and institutes.
  • Use our resources. Engaging Schools offers a variety of publications with information teachers and school leaders can start using immediately.

Our consultants are committed to helping schools do difficult work. Engaging Schools supports schools as they implement new programs, so teachers and school leaders have expert advice every step of the way. Engaging Schools is known for:

  • Expertise. Our outstanding consultants support school leaders and teachers through every aspect of implementing change — from concept to results.
  • Customization. We tailor our services based on each school’s needs and resources.
  • Working with school leaders, faculty, and staff. Everyone plays a role in helping students succeed.
  • Hands-on training. We use an experiential approach that makes information accessible and easy to remember. For example, we model best practices by conducting our training sessions the way we ask teachers to manage their classrooms.
  • Ready-to-use guidance. We provide strategies and tools that schools can start using immediately.
