• Webinar: Improving School Discipline Outcomes and Reducing Exclusionary and Disproportional Discipline Through a Revised Code of Conduct

The Syracuse (NY) City School District conducted a holistic, comprehensive initiative to revise and implement a new code over the last four years resulting in substantial improvements in student outcomes. The Code of Conduct, Character, and Support places equity front and center by creating policies that help eliminate discriminatory disciplinary responses to different groups of students and reduce exclusionary punishments and lost instructional time. Engaging Schools has been a key partner in revising and implementing the new code.
