• INSPIRE 2014: Engaging Today’s Student
The National Institute for Student-Centered Education (NISCE) is hosting a conference, INSPIRE 2014: Engaging Today’s Student, at the Four Points by Sheraton on October 22-23 in Norwood, Massachusetts. The conference will provide over 350 educational stakeholders–teachers, principals, parents, researchers, education advocates, and others committed to a transformative approach to education–with effective strategies to create project/mastery-based curriculum, teach and connect in a more networked world, respond to students’ social and emotional needs, develop themselves as leaders, build and create a collaborative educational community, and balance Common Core requirements with students’ needs. Engaging Schools’ senior program associate Denise Wolk will be exhibiting and presenting “Planning and Implementation of Successful Student Advisory Programs.”
